The Ruger Elite 452 AR-Trigger, Ruger AR 556, a two-stage trigger, a 15-inch M-LOK free float handguard, and an eighteen-inch nitrided alloy steel barrel with rifle-length gas system are all features of the AR-556 MPR (Multi-Purpose Rifle). The Magpul MOE grip and MOE SL foldable buttstock are mounted on a mil-spec buffer tube. The aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum used to make the flattop upper has a dust cover, a brass deflector, and a forward assist. They have an anodized Type III hard coat finish. Ruger AR-556 muzzle brake featuring radial port architecture. Tpi of 1/2–28 threaded. One 30-round Magpul PMAG is included.
The lower receiver is mounted on a Mil-Spec buffer tube with a MOE SL® collapsible buttstock and a Magpul® MOE® grip. The thin 15″ length offers improved ergonomics, and the free-floating handguard enhances accuracy. For strength and longevity, the bolt is shot peened and machined to meet mil-spec 9310.
The two-stage Ruger AR-556 pistol provides a crisp, smooth, 4.5-pound trigger pull. It has a lightweight hammer that allows for a quicker lock time for better accuracy and a full-strength hammer spring for reliable primer ignition.
Along the 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 placements are Magpul® M-LOK® accessory attachment slots; extra slots are located on the angled faces next to the muzzle. The radial port design of the Ruger® muzzle brake greatly minimizes felt recoil and muzzle movement. The threaded barrel makes it possible to install common muzzle accessories.

The 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel, forged by a cold hammer, boasts an exceptionally accurate and long-lasting rifling and is simple to clean—both 5.56 NATO and.223 Rem. Ammunition can be used in the 5.56 NATO chamber, Winchester Super-X Ammunition and the 1:8″ twist rate stabilizes bullets weighing between 35 and 77 grains. The flattop upper receiver is constructed from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum forging and features a dust cover, brass deflector, and forward assist. It is Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability.
The interior diameters of the gas key and bolt carrier are chrome-plated to offer superior resistance to hot gases. In order to prevent it from coming loose after repeated fire, the gas key is staked. Reduced felt recoil and smoother operation are two benefits of the rifle-length gas system. Contains one 30-round Magpul® PMAG® magazine as well.
